I added 2 stills of Sophia taken during the actual performance of the Fay Weldon play ‘The Four Alice Bakers‘. I can’t believe I never saw these pictures before, but the few places that have them didn’t list Sophia’s name for the pictures so I couldn’t find them. The untagged versions I found were of much poorer quality (they’ve been posted in the messageboard) so I decided to add the ones with the light tag on them.

Sophia played the young Alice Baker opposite Richard Armitage at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from February 19 to March 13, 1999. So far we only had 2 pictures from the rehearsals, thanks to Richard Armitage Online. They also have more info about their scene together:

In his first scene with Sophia Myles as the young Alice Baker, set in 1952, the couple dance a foxtrot to ‘Some Enchanted Evening’, he so badly that they give up and, in the course of three pages of dialogue, become engaged instead.

Earlier this month an Indian newspaper used a nice picture of Sophia to advertise ‘Outlander‘ on TV. While the picture is not new – it’s from the 2006 Tatler photoshoot – I was happy to see it used.

I also found some stills of Sophia’s first appearance on the Craig Ferguson show to promote ‘Moonlight‘ back in April 2008. While the pictures are tagged and not very big I think they’re still very nice as they’re lighter than the screencaptures we have of the episode and there is also a pretty shot of Sophia leaving and waving to the audience which wasn’t shown on TV.

Back in summer 2004, Sophia Myles appeared on MTV Total Request Live to promote ‘Thunderbirds‘. Until now we only had scans of black&white printouts of photographs in the gallery as I lost high quality pictures of the event shortly after having been sent them back then. Now, thanks to Dbiloo we have them once more in full colour. Thank you!

Tomorrow is the first day of the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. To celebrate the anniversary a number of special events and exhibitions are planned and there’s also a special section on their website. As you may know Sophia Myles attended the film festival in 2007 when her movie ‘Hallam Foe‘ had its world premiere there.

The Berlinale star portraits, taken by our photographer Gerhard Kassner and signed by the portrayed stars before their gala premieres at the Berlinale Palast, are familiar to every Festival goer. As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Berlinale, a selection of the 812 portraits taken since 2003 will be displayed in a comprehensive photo exhibition in public space throughout Berlin in numerous City Light Poster display cases.

Exciting news: Sophia Myles has a new job! Congratulations! Of course we all can’t wait to see Sophia Myles back in action and I’m sure we would all love to know what it is. But her job is top secret at the moment and will be announced as soon as possible.

As you may know a 21 year old Sophia Myles starred in an episode of long-running UK TV-Series ‘Heartbeat‘ in the Christmas episode No Hiding Place back in 2001. I finally added a very short interview with Sophia Myles at the Sony Ericsson Empire Awards, February 4, 2004. She was there to present and quickly talked about filming ‘Tristan & Isolde‘. The screencaptures of the video have long been in the photo gallery.
