Young British actress Sophia Myles, perhaps best known in Malta for her role as Lady Penelope in the movie version of the 1970s puppet adventure series Thunderbirds, is relaxing in Malta.
Looking relaxed and fresh-faced, Miss Myles met members of the media over a meal at the Can Thai restaurant on Monday.
Reserved and soft-spoken, the actress has already come a long way, having worked on movie, television and theatre productions since the age of 16.
Miss Myles, 24, said she never intended to take up acting as a career, preferring to pursue her studies instead. However, the success obtained by her earlier performances encouraged her to consider acting as a profession.
Asked about her ambitions, she said she would go on acting, open her own production company and, on a more personal note, start a family.
This is Miss Myles’s first visit to Malta. She is staying at the Fortina Spa Hotel and Resort.
