‘Hallam Foe’ shooting details

Various sources incl. Glasgow Film have updates on the filming of ‘Hallam Foe’ - Sophia’s next project. Shooting is to begin next Monday, March 27 and it will shoot for six weeks in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Peebleshire. Apart from Jamie Bell and Sophia Myles also Ciarán Hinds is a confirmed cast member. The budget is $3.7m ( £3.1m).

Mackenzie to start shooting fourth film Hallam Foe

Award winning director David Mackenzie is to direct HALLAM FOE on location in Scotland from March 27 2006.

Mackenzie’s fourth feature after THE LAST GREAT WILDERNESS(2002), YOUNG ADAM(2003) and ASYLUM(2005) is a $3.7m ( £3.1m) adaptation of the Peter Jinks novel in which Jamie Bell stars as a voyeuristic teenager who becomes convinced that his wicked stepmother is the one responsible for his mother’s suicide

Gillian Berrie is producing for Sigma Films, the company she jointly runs with Mackenzie.

HALLAM FOE is financed by Film Four, Scottish Screen, Glasgow Film Finance Ltd and Ingenious. Independent Film Sales are handling international sales on the title which also stars Sophia Myles and Ciarán Hinds and will shoot for six weeks in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Peebleshire.
