Sophia Myles has arrived in LA! (preview pictures) Yesterday was Day 9 of the TCA (Television Critics Associatio) Summer Press Tour and the cast of ‘Moonlight’ were present during the CBS portion of the event. Apart from Sophia also Shannyn Sossamon, Jason Dohring, Alex O’Loughlin as well as executive producers Joel Silver and David Greenwalt were present. If you have some un-watermarked pictures or even a video please don’t hesitate to send them in. It is much appreciated.
Today is the first day of shooting for the proper pilot episode and I hope everything goes well for the production. The premiere date for the show has been announced as well: As of September 28 US residents will be able to watch Sophia Myles every Friday night on CBS at 9 p.m. ET.
In case you were wondering why the show was recast you may be interested in reading CBS Entertainment president Nina Tassler’s explanation:
“What we had with ‘Moonlight’ was a great opportunity. We had a great concept, and we made the best choices relative to time (while shooting the pilot). And don’t forget, it was a presentation. And with a presentation, you get a chance to sort of get a glimpse at what the series might be. When we picked up the show to go to series, we were able to make some adjustments, able to make some changes to improve the show. Not that we didn’t like it to begin with — we saw an opportunity to better some of the choices. More importantly, your pilot really is sort of your ‘launching pad’ into the series. And that’s what happened with ‘Moonlight.’“
There will be another outing for the cast: Together with producer Joel Silver they are scheduled to make an appearance at the Comic-Con on Friday, July 27, 1:00-2:00 pm. If anyone’s going, could you send in a report?
