Hallam Foe and The Last King of Scotland dominated the film shortlist for this year’s Lloyd’s TSB BAFTA Scotland Awards.
The shortlist for the awards – for which The Herald is media partner – was revealed today by Bafta host and GMTV presenter Lorraine Kelly.
Seachd – The Inaccessible Pinnacle will vie with the Last King of Scotland and Hallam Foe in the best feature film, best screenplay and best actor category.
advertisementJamie Bell, James McAvoy and Aonghas Padraig Caimbeul are competing for best actor, while Sophia Myles is nominated as best actress.
TV award nominees include the Channel 4 black comedy Wedding Belles, the BBC4 drama Consenting Adults and Rebus for stv.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Glasgow’s City Halls on Sunday November 18.
Alison Forsyth, director of Bafta Scotland, praised those nominated.
She said: “We are delighted to announce the nominations for 2007.
“Once again, it is a terrific list of Scottish talent and a real tribute to our film and programme making skills.”
