‘Mister Foe’ coming to US theaters after all?

Last time we made an update about the US release of ‘Hallam Foe‘ (re-titled ‘Mister Foe‘ for the US) the information proved to be outdated. Now, it seems there’s a new release schedule. Let’s hope it’s true! The film is scheduled to be released on September 5.

But wait, there’s a catch. According to FilmJerk.com this is a very limited release: “Exclusive to the Angelika Film Center in New York City”.

In fact, the US distributor’s website lists only these other additional play dates (it may very well be that the film will only be screened once on each day):
October 10: Gainesville, FL: Hippodrome - Gainesville
October 22: Wilkes-Barre, PA: FM Kirby Center for Performing Arts

Else, there’s news that the film’s soundtrack will be released in the US on September 9. You might remember that ‘Hallam Foe‘ received a Silver Bear award for Best Music In A Film at the Berlin Film Festival (2007).

I’m getting more than just a little frustrated with all this talk of “limited release”!! First the Outlander rumors, now Hallam Foe. Darn it, what’s it gonna take to get to see Sophia on the big screen??

I was so excited the other day, because I was thinking that Hallam Foe and Outlander both would be out in theaters and I would FINALLY get to see her on the big screen and now this.

I hate to admit this, but I’m getting to the point where I just want to start looking for ways to download her stuff from the internet. Waiting for the movies to come to theaters then finding they aren’t is getting more than a bit frustrating.

I don’t suppose begging the studios is gonna get us anywhere.

Hallam Foe will be playing at the 19e Festival du Film Britannique de Dinard in France though. The festival is actually in october but the film will be playing in a portion of it that is pretty muc in the week leading up to the festival called “La Festival du Scolaires.” (somewhere between sept29th and Oct2nd)
