Colditz is Myles better

7 May 2004   |   Written by Baz Bamigboye

Sophia Myles found herself with not one, but three handsome leading actors as she began rehearsals for a TV drama that explores the hardships of Colditz castle.

The actress will star with American actor Jason Priestly, and Britsh stars Damien Lewis and Tom Hardy.

But the two-part programme will be as much passionate drama as hard-boiled wartime thriller.

As two of the men (the characters played by Hardy and Priestly) are held captive in the infamous camp, Lewis’s intelligence officer starts an affair with Sophia, who is supposed to be in love with one of the guys back in Colditz! Oh well, war is hell.

The ITV drama will film on locations in the UK, the Czech Republic and the real Colditz castle.

Meanwhile, Mr Hardy, one of our finest young actors, can be seen for four performances only in a new play called Roger & Vanessa, which runs at the Latchmere Theatre in Battersea, South London, from next Thursday.
