Version 4.2
Using Wordpress as a CMS
Designed by Natalie. After featuring 5 different layouts througout the website I wanted to go back to having one single layout. Natalie designed this lovely header with some of my favourite pictures and kept it all in blue – Sophia’s favourite colour. I loved it a lot!
Version 4.1
Using Wordpress as a CMS
Designed by Samantha. To celebrate the big site make over – conversion to Wordpress & new gallery – I asked a talented designer to create 5 beautiful layouts. I was especially happy with the main layout. Such a colorful and spirited layout and yet it was still professional.
Version 3.3
Using Cutenews for the Updates, Manual coding of remaining pages with PHP
Designed by Mycah. I finally accepted the fact that I myself couldn’t create pretty graphics. I really really like this layout – but I think there was something missing in the text areas. I was a bit lazy to think of something though.
Version 3.2
Using Cutenews for the Updates, Manual coding of remaining pages with PHP
I wanted a much simpler look and that’s what I came up with. I still kind of like it but think that a more talented designer could have gotten a lot more out of it by designing the content space a bit better.
Version 3.1
Using Cutenews for the Updates, Manual coding of remaining pages with PHP
I decided to give in to Cutenews – and what a blessing it was! It made updating so much easier. For the layout I tried to create something that would be a bit more gender-neutral and professional-looking.
Version 2.1
Manual coding of pages using PHP
I learnt a new technique: PHP includes and my life – at least when it came to designing websites – became a lot easier. I only used the 2 pictures for the layout and I always felt it was a bit cheap. But people liked it, esp. because they thought it was pink and linked it to Sophia’s role as Lady P
Version 1.2
Manual coding of HTML pages
Going for a lighter tone I chose green – a colour I was very unused to having on any of my websites. I liked the result a lot and thought that the pictures reflected the apparently happy personality of Sophia Myles. I liked the layout a lot but you can so tell that it was made by an amateur
Version 1.1
Manual coding of HTML pages
I was trying to give the impression that there were many different pictures of Sophia available – even though I was only just starting my picture collection.
In the end I felt it was too dark.
