I did a check up on all of our affiliates and added those that were still missing. The page should now be complete and only contain websites I myself like to visit from time to time. If your site is affiliated with Absolutely Sophia Myles but isn’t listed please contact me and I’ll add you.

There’s also a new site policy concerning affiliates. I can no longer accept small archive sites which offer few information and next to no news or updates about their subject. The websites in question were notified and deleted. I’ve also closed new applications in order to keep the list at reasonable length. If you’re already a friend of the site or have a Sophia Myles related website and wish to exchange links please contact me and we’ll see. Thanks for not applying at random!

A non-’Moonlight’-related update for once. A while ago Aaron sent in 3 pictures of Sophia Myles as Viking princess and warrior Freya on the set of ‘Outlander’. The guy in the pictures is the movie’s executive producer Don Carmody.

57th Berlin International Film Festival

The Berlin Film Festival is over and ‘Hallam Foe’ has been received very well! The various German and English reviews I’ve read unanimously praise the performances, especially of leading actor Jamie Bell. Some also call the film itself a film jewel. I’ve added some english reviews to this site’s press archive. The film was a favourite with both the critics and the audience making it a likely contender for the main prize. However, the winners of the Berlin Film Festival were all rather unexpected and unpredictable. Read more about it in the messageboard.

Still, director David Mackenzie won a SILVER BEAR FOR THE BEST MUSIC for the use of music in Hallam Foe! Congratulations!!

February 16 is the day ‘Hallam Foe’ will have its world premiere. The programme for the Berlinale is out and here are the dates:

14.10 Photo-Call / 14.20 Press Conference / 19.30 World Premiere at the Berlinale Palast

Other screenings are scheduled as follows:
Saturday, February 17, at 15.00 and 21.00 at the Urania
Sunday, February 18, at 22.30 at the International

New Host

After all the tiresome problems I recently encountered with my previous host I moved the site to GoDaddy.Com. All the information is here already. But please bear with me while I’m working on getting all the over 8,000 pictures and videos on the new server. There might also be some other minor temporary problems, but rest assured I’m working on it!

I’ve corrected the name of Sophia’s new role in ‘Outlander’: it’s Freya. And welcome our new affiliate: a site for Sophia’s new costar Jim Caviezel.

Hallam Foe UK release

The latest UK release information (I hope this is definite) for ‘Hallam Foe’ is January 26, 2007.

When you visit the film’s blog you’ll see that they’re trying to build up great mouth-to-mouth-publicity. Part of the strategy are also MySpace accounts for the film characters. Visit the ones for Hallam Foe (Jamie Bell) and Kate Breck (Sophia Myles). Remember, these accounts are for fictive movie characters and the people managing are not the actors but the movie’s publicity people!!
