Well first let me begin with an apology! I am so sorry that I have been so long in updating the main site – I am currently in the process of finishing university so have the last few assignments and dissertation to complete and then I will be back completely to give this site the attention that it deserves! But enough about me! Let’s get on to the exciting stuff!
**
As you may have seen, Sophia attended a fundraising gala at Soho Theatre during March – there are some images in the gallery already but I do have a few HQ images to add in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled for them!
**
There is also an interview with Sophia in Issue 446 of Doctor Who Magazine (Out Now!)
A PROPER MADAME!
DWM conducts an intimate interview with Madame de Pompadour herself, actress SOPHIA MYLES, who reveals what it was like to wear Helen Mirren’s dress, snogging the stars and confronting clockwork robots in THE GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE!
DWM’s The Time Team also re-watch of The Girl in the Fireplace and DWM have also compiled a list of people Doctor Who fans should follow on Twitter … including our very own Ms Myles!
**
It has also been announced that Sophia will be attending the Sci-fi, cult tv & film convention, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy which takes place at Peterborough Arena on the 12-13 May 2012 – You can find out more information about the guests attending and ticket prices by visiting the official website

**
And finally, I would like to also share with you all, the wonderful Sophia-inspired fanart calendars that have been created by messageboard memebers Mia, Cairine and Donna -I think we can all agree that they are absolutely stunning and I can only apologise that I haven’t shared them before now!

In addition to new production stills for Spooks, Oliver Twist, Thunderbirds, Tristan & Isolde, Art School Confidential, Hallam Foe, The Abduction Club, Outlander, Nicholas Nickleby and Foyles War, I have also uploaded some a 7-page article dedicated to Sophia’s Doctor Who episode, The Girl in the Fireplace which was published in Issue 434 of Doctor Who Magazine:
I would also like to say a massive thank you to Mariana for sending in this gorgeous outtake from Sophia’s photoshoot for Glamour Magazine in 2006

Finally! ‘Outlander‘ is released in cinemas throughout Sophia’s homecountry this coming Friday, April 24!
SciFi.co.uk has a competition to win a VIP private ‘Outlander’ screening for you & your mates. To participate you have to be a UK resident, register at their website and give the correct answer to this question “What do you call a monster with one eye?” before the end of April 25. Good luck!
Also on SciFi.co.uk you can shorten the wait till Friday by watching their exclusive ‘Outlander‘ clip of the movie’s beginning.
I’ve come across some new reviews. Apparently Jonathan Ross spoke favourably about the movie in his show and The Mirror singled out Sophia Myles for praise in their short and lukewarm review: “but it moves at a fair old pace and features a great performance by Sophia Myles as a Viking princess.”
As always I’m extremely grateful for anything you UK fans might come across. Thanks for keeping your eyes open!
Oh, and Sophia’s ‘Doctor Who‘ episode “Girl in the Fireplace” re-airs tonight on BBC3 at 7pm.

Again, from the set of ‘Moonlight‘ but a bit more extensive than the recent ones. Sophia Myles talks of course about vampires and her character Beth but also about the comparisons between the ‘Doctor Who‘ episode ‘The Girl in the Fireplace’ and ‘Moonlight‘, about her upcoming movie ‘Outlander‘ as well as her beginnings as an actress.
• Sophia Myles On The Set Of ‘Moonlight’, MediaBlvd Magazine, May 16
The minute I walked onto a film set, I just completely fell in love, hook, line and sinker. I was madly in love with it. From then on, I knew that that was the only thing I wanted to do, so I got myself an agent and just kept plowing away.
