It’s been almost a year that ‘Dracula‘ premiered on BBC. It has since been released on DVD in both the UK and the US. Now, the Bram Stoker adaptation starring Sophia Myles as (eventual) vampire Lucy has been released on a German DVD!
Since there’s no new episode of ‘Moonlight’ until next week and the series is not yet airing anywhere outside the States - except in Australia as of next week Dec 12th at 9:30PM on Channel 9 - it might be a good idea to watch this film in the meantime. Buy the DVD on Amazon US, UK

While a German DVD ‘Out of Bounds’ (2001) has been available for some time now, at least in Switzerland, the film will have a free-TV-premiere in Germany next Monday, February 19, on ZDF. Check out the information and exact airing date for Allein in der Dunkelheit.

I’ve never really kept up with the status of ‘Doctor Who’ outside of the UK. So thank you to Aaron for bringing me up to speed.
Apparently, the 2nd series has aired already (incl. episode 4 also starring Sophia Myles) and has been available on DVD since January 16th this year. Buy Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series on Amazon.Com. The extras seem to be the same as on the UK DVD. Especially interesting for us: In-Vision commentary for episode 4 by David Tennant and Sophia Myles (and a producer), Outtakes and David Tennant’s video diaries.
I’ve added some more ‘Art School Confidential’ Portraits from last year’s Sundance Film Festival and replaced the Empire Australia Outtakes (2002) with HQs. Thanks to Kathy.

Thank you to Damian Lewis Com for the information:
Timeless Media and MTI Home Video through 2007 will co-release a series of films including Ted Danson’s and Mary Steenburgen’s Talking to Heaven. The companies will pool funds in order to acquire DVD rights to higher-profile properties than each could secure individually. Timeless will oversee sell-through distribution channels, and MTI will handle distribution into rental accounts. Two additional titles Above and Beyond and Escape From Colditz will street by early 2007. A total of six to 10 films should street through next year. (source: Videobusiness.Com)
And I have a problem with my email address. It should be more or less ok at the moment but if you’ve recently written I may not have received your message. So feel free to write again. Sorry!

According to the official blog ‘Hallam Foe’ is in its final stages of editing. Tomorrow the director’s cut will be screened for all the financiers.
Today the US DVD of ‘The Hades Factor’ is being released and Part 1 has aired on Sky over the weekend in the UK.
Last week the Marple: Sleeping Murder UK DVD was released. When I got back from my vacation yesterday I finally got round to see this excellent episode. Sophia Myles was brilliant as the young fiancée playing at being worldly yet being a vulnerable 21-year-old. If you haven’t yet seen this, go and buy (or rent) it. The episode is also available on a single disc.
