Sophia Myles to appear in ‘Doctor Who’

Sophia Myles has accepted a new role: She’s going to play Madame Du Pompadour in an episode of the famous BBC TV-Series ‘Doctor Who’ starring Billie Piper and David Tennant. Euros Lyn is directing, rehearsals are currently taking place and shooting will soon start.

There is a very informative fansite about the series: Gallifrey. And it says there that the tentative start date for the airing of Series 2 is March 2006. I believe the episode Sophia Myles will be in is ‘4: The Girl in the Fireplace’ – this one is set in 18th century France, the time and place Madame du Pompadour lived.

Note: I’ve replaced some pictures with high quality ones: Chelsea Flower Show and The Prince and The Pauper – On Set. The large pictures can be found at the beginning of the albums and to see the full version you need to click the image again after opening it. Thanks Mel for these!!

Sophia Myles speaks about her projects

Sophia Myles talks more about her current projects:

Tristan And Isolde should be out sometime this year. We don’t yet know when. The movie is almost complete and Kevin Reynolds is in the final editing stages. It was incredible to work on this project. It was a very long and tough shoot, but thoroughly exhilarating. I haven’t seen the whole movie yet but what I have seen looks stunning. The cinematography is out of this world. I think you will really enjoy it.

Art School is coming out September 30th. Terry Zwigoff is a genius. I would give my right arm to work with him again. We all had such a laugh.

I don’t know what I am going to do next yet, but there is some fabulous material floating around at the moment. We shall see!
