Well first let me begin with an apology! I am so sorry that I have been so long in updating the main site – I am currently in the process of finishing university so have the last few assignments and dissertation to complete and then I will be back completely to give this site the attention that it deserves! But enough about me! Let’s get on to the exciting stuff!

As you may have seen, Sophia attended a fundraising gala at Soho Theatre during March – there are some images in the gallery already but I do have a few HQ images to add in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled for them!

There is also an interview with Sophia in Issue 446 of Doctor Who Magazine (Out Now!)

A PROPER MADAME!
DWM conducts an intimate interview with Madame de Pompadour herself, actress SOPHIA MYLES, who reveals what it was like to wear Helen Mirren’s dress, snogging the stars and confronting clockwork robots in THE GIRL IN THE FIREPLACE!

DWM’s The Time Team also re-watch of The Girl in the Fireplace and DWM have also compiled a list of people Doctor Who fans should follow on Twitter … including our very own Ms Myles!

It has also been announced that Sophia will be attending the Sci-fi, cult tv & film convention, The Greatest Show in the Galaxy which takes place at Peterborough Arena on the 12-13 May 2012 – You can find out more information about the guests attending and ticket prices by visiting the official website

And finally, I would like to also share with you all, the wonderful Sophia-inspired fanart calendars that have been created by messageboard memebers Mia, Cairine and Donna -I think we can all agree that they are absolutely stunning and I can only apologise that I haven’t shared them before now!

I apologise for the slight delay in posting the new calendar which was this month created by talented messageboard member Felicia.

TV Choice Magazine added a new interview with Sophia Myles in which she talks about her character Beth Bailey on ‘Spooks‘ as well as her Hollywood experience and her year off! I can’t even begin to list all the interesting bits as it’s all very interesting – and needless to say it’s fabulous to read a Sophia interview about 2 years after she promoted ‘Mister Foe‘ in the US.

I’ve also started adding some scans from TV Magazines by Lorna to the gallery. I’m limited in my time to update until the evening so stay tuned for more!

On the day I heard about it [Spooks], a really spooky thing happened. I went to the theatre to see a friend of mine in a play at the Royal Court in London. In the play was Rupert Penry-Jones, and then in the bar afterwards, I met Keeley Hawes and Hermione Norris. Then I’m in the cab on the way back and I get an email saying, ‘Would you be interested in Spooks?’ and I thought, ‘I don’t have a choice.’

A new interview

Last week the California Chronicle re-published an interview with Sophia from the Belfast Telegraph. While it’s a short one contrary to the other recent articles it’s a full interview and she talks about ‘Outlander‘, ‘Moonlight‘ (which is currently airing on Virgin1 in the UK on Monday nights), ‘Thunderbirds‘, ‘Doctor Who‘ as well as the persistent rumour about ‘Buddha’s Little Finger‘ (it’s definitely not happening). [edit:] I replaced the article with another re-publication by Tiscali.co.uk wich has the additional sentence “I know it’s still acting but it’s like the difference between, say, painting in watercolour and painting in oils” in Sophia’s answer to the question about stage work.

WHAT’S BEEN YOUR FAVOURITE ROLE OVER THE YEARS? I really would struggle to pick one role because each film is like a different adventure. Each film-making experience is unique in its own way.

Elle Magazine – Diet Diary

The new February issue of Elle (UK) magazine with Kate Winslet on the cover has an article about Sophia Myles. It’s called Diet Diary and is basically about Sophia’s weekly food intake with a nutritionist’s opinion about it.
