Projects: Partial Re-Opening
Posted by Maria on August 4, 2008

It’s been over 6 months that there has been no information on Sophia Myles’ projects available on this site. Truth is I had started this new build-up for the Projects section and the original plan was to launch it together with all the other newly re-designed sections back in January. However, I hadn’t finished in time and opted for a delayed opening. Yet time flew by and I still haven’t finished. So, I decided to allow public access to the section even though it is only partially finished. I promise I will soon finish the other sub-sections too.

Meanwhile browse around the sections Upcoming, Movies and Info. This also brings back the calendar and awards information pages. The new feature is an overview of films that are sometimes falsely reported to feature Sophia (Underworld: Evolution) or never went into production (Buddha’s Little Finger).

Of course only now can you properly vote which layout you like best. At the moment the results are: Photo Gallery 46 %, Main Site 26 %, Media Vault 12 %, Press 9 % and 6 % who voted for Projects even though they hadn’t even seen it. I’ve now deleted all answers to allow a ‘true’ result.
[edit:] It seems you are only to vote in the sidebar - so sorry.

There’s huge activity on the site at the moment (around 1,700 visitors each day), which is why I’d like to remind you NOT to HOTLINK to pictures from the gallery. Also the contact form on this site is to contact me (Maria) the webmaster of the site. If you wish to contact Sophia Myles or ask for an autograph you should try writing to her agency. The address is found here. Thanks! I don’t have the time to answer each email intended for Sophia Myles individually reminding everyone to contact her through the agency, sorry!

Another information concerning ‘Art School Confidential’: The Hollywood studio MGM (who was producing the movie) was taken over by Sony Pictures and it is now Sony Pictures Classics that is releasing the movie - the reason for the delay. But, they have the movie officially listed on their site and scheduled for release next April.

Merlin Ward, director of ‘Out of Bounds’, has created a homepage with a special section dedicated to the movie. visit

A BIG Thank You goes to Gavin from the original Sophia Myles site (SophiaMyles.co.uk): His message board (with Erika as hostess) is also for my site. So, what are you waiting for? Head over to the BOARD to chat about Sophia and her work!

Another very big Thank You to Ruth: She sent me tons of Sophia pictures - also some fabulous ‘Thunderbirds’ stills - view them here.

And there’s a new article: (The one picture that hasn’t been published before is now in the gallery.
» No strings attached Sunday Express UK, June 13, 2004

This article is very interesting because it talks about another new project for Sophia: ITV’s interpretation of ‘Colditz’. More about this mini-series to follow.

And since ‘Oliver Twist’ has been released on DVD - Region 1, USA, Canada - I was able to make some screen caps of that excellent series. View them here.

I’ve also added a poll question: What is your favourite film? Please take the time to give your answer. Thanks a lot.
