Tomorrow is the first day of the 60th Berlin International Film Festival. To celebrate the anniversary a number of special events and exhibitions are planned and there’s also a special section on their website. As you may know Sophia Myles attended the film festival in 2007 when her movie ‘Hallam Foe‘ had its world premiere there.

The Berlinale star portraits, taken by our photographer Gerhard Kassner and signed by the portrayed stars before their gala premieres at the Berlinale Palast, are familiar to every Festival goer. As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Berlinale, a selection of the 812 portraits taken since 2003 will be displayed in a comprehensive photo exhibition in public space throughout Berlin in numerous City Light Poster display cases.

I’m really sorry for the lack of updates recently. But I’ve thoroughly been enjoying summer and being out & about with friends and it’s also been rather quiet in the Sophia world. Well, thanks to Sarika from Rachel Hurd-Wood Web we have a new outtake from the 2007 portrait session for Stella magazine. Sophia Myles and the other actresses are striking some funky rockstar poses – a must-see!

Nothing totally new here, but still very exciting. I’ve come across the un-tagged versions of the very striking Portrait Session for ‘Elle’ last September. I’ve also added the photoshoot for ‘Total Film’ – dated September 2007 as well – and 2 new stills for ‘Art School Confidential‘.

First of all, thank you all soo much for all the lovely comments on the layout. I’m really glad that you seem to love it, there is no greater reward for all the hard work I’ve put into the re-launch! Le’ts not forget that the lovely graphics and colour scheme were designed by Samantha. Many thanks again!

I’ve never really kept up with the status of ‘Doctor Who’ outside of the UK. So thank you to Aaron for bringing me up to speed.

Apparently, the 2nd series has aired already (incl. episode 4 also starring Sophia Myles) and has been available on DVD since January 16th this year. Buy Doctor Who: The Complete Second Series on Amazon.Com. The extras seem to be the same as on the UK DVD. Especially interesting for us: In-Vision commentary for episode 4 by David Tennant and Sophia Myles (and a producer), Outtakes and David Tennant’s video diaries.

I’ve added some more ‘Art School Confidential’ Portraits from last year’s Sundance Film Festival and replaced the Empire Australia Outtakes (2002) with HQs. Thanks to Kathy.
