Many thanks Natalie for this information. As you may know a 21 year old Sophia Myles starred in an episode of long-running UK TV-Series ‘Heartbeat‘ in the Christmas episode No Hiding Place back in 2001. Thanks to Dawn we have screencaptures and clips in the gallery but you might want to see this episode as a whole for yourself! If you live in the UK, here’s your chance:
UK residents will later be able to watch the episode online via ITV Player.

Our messageboard member Chrissy – who’s currently house-bound – spotted an ad on TV saying that ‘Moonlight‘ is soon airing on freeview channel Virgin 1. A little internet digging revealed that the first episode airs on August 10, 9pm and then the series will air regularly Mondays at 9pm on Virgin 1 (source). This is great news for all of you who don’t have Sky, and therefore couldn’t watch ‘Moonlight‘ on Living last year!
Thanks again Chrissy – and get better soon!

Another movie with Sophia Myles airs on Australian TV. Thanks to Annabelle we know that ABC1 is currently repeating the first season of ‘Foyles War‘. Each of the episodes work as a TV movie on their own and of course Sophia Myles starred in the episode titled ‘A Lesson in Murder‘, which airs on Saturday, May 9, at 10.05pm – only in Australia on ABC1!
Remember, to know about any project of Sophia’s airing on US TV only check the TV widget in the sidebar or click this link.

Thanks Chris for sending me this information. ‘Hallam Foe‘ is making its premiere on Australian TV on the 6th of May on the Showtime Channel. It will be repeated on the 7th, 18th and 30th May.
This is good news as ‘Hallam Foe‘ was not picked up by any DVD stores that Chris has been into in Tasmania. So if you live in Australia and haven’t seen this lovely film – featuring an award winning performance by Sophia Myles no less – be sure to tune in. Read more about ‘Hallam Foe‘.

Finally! ‘Outlander‘ is released in cinemas throughout Sophia’s homecountry this coming Friday, April 24!
SciFi.co.uk has a competition to win a VIP private ‘Outlander’ screening for you & your mates. To participate you have to be a UK resident, register at their website and give the correct answer to this question “What do you call a monster with one eye?” before the end of April 25. Good luck!
Also on SciFi.co.uk you can shorten the wait till Friday by watching their exclusive ‘Outlander‘ clip of the movie’s beginning.
I’ve come across some new reviews. Apparently Jonathan Ross spoke favourably about the movie in his show and The Mirror singled out Sophia Myles for praise in their short and lukewarm review: “but it moves at a fair old pace and features a great performance by Sophia Myles as a Viking princess.”
As always I’m extremely grateful for anything you UK fans might come across. Thanks for keeping your eyes open!
Oh, and Sophia’s ‘Doctor Who‘ episode “Girl in the Fireplace” re-airs tonight on BBC3 at 7pm.

And one more update for today. Mark your diaries! To promote the US release of ‘Mister Foe‘ Sophia Myles is scheduled to appear (for the second time this year) on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. The date is Monday, September 8, 2008 at 12.35 AM ET/PT (to avoid confusion: this would be during the night Monday/Tuesday).
Please be sure to tune in – and since I myself won’t be able to watch or record this I’d be more than happy if someone could send in a clip for the site afterwards!

Every now and then I like to check the upcoming TV schedule for Sophia Myles over at IMDb. Imagine my surprise when I saw ‘The Prince and the Pauper‘ listed. Up till now I have never managed to see this 1996 BBC mini series that is also Sophia’s acting debut. So, UK residents mark this in your diaries:
August 29th: ‘The Prince and the Pauper‘ airs on TMC at 13.00 and on TMC 2 at 19.00.
One of the comments in the film’s IMDb boards sent me on a 3 hour search. But finally I found what I was looking for! Apparently, the Mark Twain adaptation with Sophia Myles as Lady Jane Grey in a supporting role was released on a Region 2 DVD in the Netherlands on April 11, 2008! Follow this link to order your copy. Mine is hopefully already on its way and I’ll be sure to post screencaps and one or two clips once it arrives!
