Sophia Myles on the Moonlight Finale

The sexy Brit talks to us about vampires, striking writers and Doctor Who.

Sophia Myles has had a pretty good year. When it was decided to re-work the pilot of Moonlight she was offered the job and, three days later, she was on the set. At the time things were chaotic and very much in motion, but her gamble has paid off as the series has found tremendous success. One of the few new shows this season to improve in the ratings and gain a devoted cult following, Moonlight has also recently won a People’s Choice Award. This Friday’s episode is the last episode that was shot before the writers went on strike, and stands as the season finale. We were part of a conference all with some press and Myles (whose first name is actually pronounced “Sof-eye-ah”) to talk about her show.

“For me, being a part of this show has been incredible,” Myles said. “And I never knew what I was getting myself involved in. It’s evolved into something so incredible. I had no idea what I was letting myself in for. They offered me this job and I had 24 hours to make a decision. I got on a plane and left my life in London and came her and kind of started shooting three days later. It was all very last minute. I was kind of winging it at the beginning. It just started to evolve because Alex and I have such a great working rapport together. We really just fire off each other
