New Gallery Additions!

As it is almost Christmas, I have some wonderful things to share with you! I have added to the gallery some more HQ images of Sophia on set during the filming of Transformers 4 in Hong Kong! As you may have already seen, there was a feature about Transformers 4 in Issue 295 of Empire Magazine (UK) – if you missed it then you can now see the scans in our gallery.

Also, in this issue of Empire magazine there was a small on location article about Blackwood – although there were no on set images of Sophia included, it is a really interesting article and there are some quotes from Sophia in there 🙂

And last but not least, we have a new production still from Blackwood (and I think it is one of my favourite images of Sophia. EVER.)

‘Utopia’: Interviews, Rehearsals etc

After weeks of rehearsals in London (pictures) the cast of ‘Utopia‘ moved to Newcastle last week for the final tech rehearsal (pictures 1, 2). Tomorrow, Wednesday, is the first official performance. Best of luck to Sophia Myles & the whole cast and crew!

There are still tickets available to see Sophia perform live on stage in Newcastle until June 16 before they move to the Soho Theatre in London on June 20.

To find out more about the play check out our extensive info page in the projects section.

Sky News – Tyne and Wear interviewed Rufus Hound & Sophia Myles last week. Watch the interviews here and here. And Natalie has added some interviews with Sophia that were published recently.

More ‘Spooks’ related Scans

I added new scans sent in by Lorna and added some additional scans to the sets from yesterday, thanks to the generosity of Ali from Richard Armitage Net. Even if there’s no Sophia it’s still nice to see her new project featured on the cover of TV Magazines. Also messageboard member Felicia typed up those articles with Sophia-relevant bits. Thank you everybody so much!

Agents of Change, from TV Times, September 18
Agents of Change, from Total TV Guide, September 18-24

Beth’s based on a real woman, who I’ve met. When she [the real person] was 18 – and studying English at Edinburgh University – she was head-hunted by MI6. She was picked to undergo their fast-track selection process. It’s about two blocks of six months.

She meets Lucas and they end up helping each other solve this problem. Beth reconnects with Harry, who she met years ago, at MI5 HQ and asks him for a job. Lucas is suspicious of Beth because she’s from the private sector. She also tries to take the mickey out of Lucas and he doesn’t like that!

I sat down to watch a few [Spooks episodes] and I was absolutely terrified. I can never watch them late at night. They stress me out too much. I go to bed with heart palpitations!

Be sure to read the articles to find out more as well as what drew her to the project even if she hadn’t watched it before. If you want to remain spoiler-free however, I suggest you postpone looking at the scans and articles until you’ve seen episode 1.

TV Choice about their Spooks interview

Many thanks Ali for alerting me to a blog post on the TV Choice website, where journalist Helen Childs reports about the experience of interviewing the Spooks actors recently. The actual interviews will be released in autumn when the show starts airing.

This confirms that Sophia’s role in the British series will indeed be as an MI-5 agent and there are some interesting new details about her character. She plays Beth (interestingly enough) who is based on a real life character. Despite wearing some impressive heels in at least one scene (pics) she will not be seen running in them. Remembering what she said in the January 2009 Podcast about heels & running I’m actually very relieved to hear that.

Daily Mail snippet

This is a bit late, but I only recently came across it. When Tristan & Isolde was shown on Channel4 in the UK just before Christmas, the Daily Mail’s supplement magazine Weekend featured a small portrait about Sophia Myles in the TV listing.
